Just picked up the Samsung Vibrant. I want to know if it can be unlocked and put on my simple mobile so I can get a cheaper plan with the same features as T Mobile. Please help me!!! Thanks!

After i rooted my samsung galaxy s, wad is the differences i may face n any problem or difficulty i might encounter? and after i rooted it den i wld like to upgarde my firmware,will i encounter any problem?

@tim, Yes it can be unlocked, I unlocked mine 2 days ago, by calling them and asking for the unlock cause I needed to use the phone internationally.(true story) lol

I already unlocked mine (looking forward to move to Simplemobile too) using cellunlocker.net.
I received the code after 1 day and I paid around $20. By the way, the unlocking process is extremely simple.

how do you disable the default text messaging display on the vibrant, i am using the Handcent app and dont like the default text messaging on the vibrant, help please?!
